Halloween Candy

Wanting to give full size candy bars out at Halloween time, and not wanting to spend 50 cents per candy bar, I bought 12 packages of 6 Wal-Mart “Great Value” chocolate candy bars at $2 per package.   I should have plenty.   If I find candy on sale for a cheaper price, then I will get that as well.

Now I have to avoid the temptation to eat them.

Banana Milkshake

I fill our blender with ice, add 2 cups of skim milk and 2 bananas and 1 package of sweetner.  The older bananas have more flavor.  Tastes like a banana milk shake.  Yummy.  Makes enough for 2 shakes---one for me and one for John.
It's my version of Rally's Banana Milkshake that I cannot afford their calories, but with skim milk, I can afford the calories in mine!

Chocolate Pudding with a Banana

What to do with a ripe banana? I prefer my bananas less ripe, so when I forgot about some and let them sit for a week, I came up with a clever way to get rid of them.

In a blender I mixed one banana with two packages of sugar free instant chocolate pudding and four cups fat free milk. This is like adding starch to starch, but it was a way of sneaking some fruit into the pudding.

At first I could not really call it an improvement. It wasn't bad, but it was different. Howerever, the taste has grown on me a bit.

Maybe I could have done better by adding banana slices to banana flavored pudding instead. I also wonder about the possibility of blending strawberries with chocolates pudding.
