McDonald's vs. Burger King

Don’t judge me. I have not eaten a Big Mac in years. A friend called. She was going through McDonald’s & did I want anything. A Big Mac! She called me this morning & asked about how it was. HORRIBLE! No taste, the burger had no taste…was it even meat? It had been slapped together & fell apart when I tried to pick it up. YIKES! Hers was the same. It has been about 5 years since my last one. If we can’t trust McDonald’s who can we trust? 😕

I really like Whoppers.   They can be inconsistent.  Usually they are perfect, but sometimes they can be a little burnt or dry.

Burger King has really good discounts with coupons, but they haven't sent them out for a long time.  In drive thru you can give them the coupon code, and at least on National Road they won't ask for the coupon.  The coupon code 6904 gets a large Whopper meal for $8.01 with tax, which is at least a $3 discount.  They charge extra for substitutions, like asking for BBQ sauce or coffee to drink.  (They used to do substitutions for free.)

If they ask for the physical coupon, tell them it blew away.

The Burger King app also has discount offers, although not quite as good as this coupon.

The Arby's app will have a buy-one-get-one-free special a couple of times per month.  I think that the Turkey Bacon Ranch is the best sandwich ever.  (After ordering with the app, they will offer you a promotion, like a free month of Apple TV.)

The Gyro at Arby's is okay, but the meat is a big disappointment compared to actual Greek restaurants.  I plan to try that new Gyro restaurant on Middle Road.
